Description

The letter from Wells is in response to a letter (dated March 10, not saved) from McCulloch inviting Wells to Evanston to speak and also to McCulloch's home for dinner with their husbands included. Wells is commenting on the recent events in Washington DC with the suffrage parade and the controversy over the inclusion of African American women in the parade. McCulloch has heard what happened at the march and is expressing support for Wells. Wells is expressing appreciation to McCulloch for her support and replying yes to the invitations.
